First Team V Hendy
Below par Palm Trees hit Hendy for nine.

A game which should have been a breeze really was just that but against better opposition, todays performance could have seen us take a tumble.

Hendy started the better of the two teams as they looked to get an early goal and they could have easily gone a goal in front early on but for some fantastic Goalkeeping by the in form Ben Jones. Striker supremo Stu Hemingway looked in inspiring mood as he put West End in front and then doubled his tally two minutes later after a great assist by Curtis Evans. Curtis then made it three after some great Midfield bustling by Jack Sutcliffe. Just before half time Ollie Noor broke forward from Defence and linked up well with Stu Hemingway who played in Ollie to make it 4-0.

The second half had a little more urgency from West End with Nathan Lewis making it 5-0 from a thunderbolt of a free kick which found its way under the Goalkeeper. Stu Hemingway then grabbed another hatrick making it 6-0 with Hendy replying with a goal of their own making it 6-1 but West End were not finished there as Rob Griffiths bundled in from a corner making it 7-1 and Stu Hemingway grabbed his fourth and fifth of the game towards the end.

In terms of quality this performance by West End was very uncharacteristic as the positional Discipline and workrate was massively lacking but still managed to win 9-1. Penllergaer Away next week and the greens will certainly need to up their game to emulate this score.
