First Team @ Carmarthen Town United
Six goals at Richmond Park to make it six out six for rompant Greens!

This week unbeaten West End travelled to Richmond Park to face Carmarthen Town United who have had a pretty decent start to the season themselves so this would have been a tough fixture for both teams.

With only two minutes on the clock West End were on the attack as the lively Nathan Lewis crossed in a pin point ball which was turned in by Curtis Evans. Carmarthen Town United then had an attack of their own but were kept at bay by the solid back line of Ollie Noor and Steve Preece. Quarter of an hour into the game the home side found themselves two goals down as Lloyd Westons sublime tackle gave West End posession, Lloyd then played a lovely ball through which cut the Carmarthen Town United defence in half and the prolific Stu Hemingway passed the ball beyond the keeper to double West Ends lead. With 25 minutes played Carmarthen Town United started to claw their way back into the game as they started to cause the West End full backs some problems. Ben Jones then made a fantastic reflex save to deny the home team of a goal. Carmarthen Town United continued to attack but after 35 minutes they were caught out on the counter attack as Curtis Evans broke free down the right. He played in Stu Hemingway who unselfishly played in Nathan Lewis who made it 3-0. Just before the break the home side made it 3-1 but West End looked like they had a few more goals in them. Half Time 3-1.

Second Half started the same as the first as West End were quick out of the blocks, Charlie Weston and Jack Sutcliffe were controlling well in the middle of the park and were using their wingers well with real intent. Stu Hemingway grabbed his second of the game after 55 minutes when he beat 2 defenders and beat the Keeper at his far post. West End were 4-1 up and coasting. Tayler Thomas then replaced the busy Lloyd Weston on the hour but by then the damage had already been done as Carmarthen Town United looked shocked. Curtis Evans then made it 5-1 as he grabbed his second of the game and bagged his hat-trick on 80 minutes after some nice work by substitute Steff Thomas and Stu Hemingway. Full Time 6-1.

Another very comfortable win for West End United who played some great football in this game. FC Nedd at home in the West Wales Cup next Saturday which will be a good test for unbeaten West End.
